SHARED ENVELOPE BUDGET
Draft for the personal-use prototype · 1 November 2026
Shared Envelope Budget is a private, non-commercial budgeting tool used by the joint holders of one household current account.
The app stores the transactions entered by household members, together with envelope names, allocations, notes and merchant rules.
The information is used only to display the household budget, calculate the manually recorded account balance and suggest envelope allocations.
The app is currently operated by manual entry. It has no active connection to a bank and does not receive bank login credentials.
Budget records are stored in a secured database. Access is restricted to authorised members of the household.
Financial information is not sold, used for advertising or shared with unrelated third parties. Technical providers process only the information required to host the app and authenticate its users.
Household members control which transactions they enter. Stored app data can be deleted on request.
